Floyd Benjamin Tyler, Jr., age 90 of Arlington, passed away on September 29, 2018, at his home with his family at his side. He was born on September 14, 1928, in McKinney, Texas, the son of Floyd Tyler, Sr., and Gerida Rogers.
Floyd proudly served his county in both the US Air Force and later the US Army during Korea. After his service, Floyd worked for Braniff Airlines for 32 years and finished his long career as a security guard. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, telling old stories, and spending time with his family and friends, which were his pride and joy.
Floyd is survived by his daughter Diane Weidmann; grandchildren John Weidmann and wife Sherry, and Casey Weidmann; great grandchildren Damien and Riley, and one expected in the spring. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 59 years, Judy, sister Anne Jo Ross, and brother John C. Tyler.
Graveside services and military honors will be at 11:15am on Thursday, October 4 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
