Helen was born February 7, 1921 in Princeton, Texas the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Marzee Lambert. She Married Ray Nathan Dearman on January 8, 1945 in Abilene, Texas.
She is survived by her oldest son, Lonnie Ray Dearman, of Abilene, Texas, and daughters; Judy Kay Dearman Glossup and husband Henry of Abilene, Texas, and Brenda Kaye Dearman of Abilene, Texas who became her daughter when she married Van at age 17, sisters; Lou Ryan of Grass Valley, California, and Martha Robberson of Wichita, Kansas, her baby brother Scott Lambert and wife Gloria of Santa Clara, California, and sister in law, Phyllis Lambert of Interlachen, Florida.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Brian Dennington and wife Vanessa, Denise Dearman-James and husband Winkie, Vanessa Dearman, Rachel Dearman, all of Abilene, Texas, Pamela Dearman Bradley of Weatherford, Texas, Melissa Glossup and husband Tedi Zohar of Long Beach, California, and Nathan Dearman, of St. George, Utah, and 13 great grandchildren; Ericah and Emarie James, Mackenzie Hudson, Raevan Dearman, B.G. Russell, Zayden Page, Keyvan Hodge all of Abilene, Texas, Denisha, Lakeshia and Dennis Bradley, Vandon and Anissa Dearman, and DeAndre Brannon of Weatherford, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Reuben and Lee Lambert, her husband Ray in 1986, two sons, Donnie Lee in 2002 and Van Larry Dearman in 1998 and a granddaughter, Meagan Lee Dearman in 2017.
Mrs. Dearman retired from the Abilene State School after a 23 year career. She was the beloved "Mama" to her children and "Mamaw" or "Memaw" to her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Helen will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory, Abilene, Texas. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Abilene City Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Griffith, Belmont Baptist Church, officiating
