He is survived by his wife of 51 years Millie (McGowan), sons Derrick and Hal (Darla), grandchildren Ethan and Jaylene; sisters Arlene (Lee), Glenda, Gaye, Dawn; Sisters-in-laws Shirley, Jessie (Howard), Vivian (Jim) & Lily.
Larry was born August 23, 1940 in Mather, Mb to Arthur & Iva. He grew up in Mather and later met Millie, together they moved to Winnipeg. This is where they raised their two sons who grew up either at the hockey rink or ball diamond. Larry had a passion for baseball and spent many years coaching Legion 141 baseball where both his boys played. Larry coached baseball for over 30 years and in 2016 was inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame.
When Larry was not pursuing his passion for baseball he spent many years working for Superior Envelope.
Special thank you to all the doctor's, nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion during Larry's time there.
In keeping with Larry's wishes a private family grave side service will be held.
