Denise Daenzer passed away on September 27th, 2018 in Austin, Texas after her battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Her final days were with family while she was in hospice care at her son’s home with his wife and her two grandchildren along with the help of her friend, Leslie Cook.
Denise was born in Baytown, Texas to Numa Joseph Trahan Jr. and Lorine Sidonia Franta Trahan. In 1974, she graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts with honours. After college, she married Martin Daenzer and had two beautiful children, Matthew and Jade. They made a home in Taylor where Denise worked at the US Postal Office. After retirement, Denise moved to Mexico where she lived out her dream of living on a beach. Denise deeply loved and cherished her family and friends. The love and support she received during difficult times was never forgotten.
Denise is preceded in death by her mother, father and daughter. She is survived by her son Matt Daenzer and wife Lauren; Sisters Lisa Crone and Janice Little; Grandchildren Alyssa Daenzer-Stogner, Keira Daenzer and Jace Daenzer.
The Daenzer family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Asera Care (hospice) staff members: Nurse Marty, Nurse Randy, Chaplain Dan and Social Worker Catherine who helped them through her final days. They also extend gratitude to Leslie Cook, her dear friend who cared for Denise and allowed an invaluable amount of time for Denise to extend hospice stay in their home.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on October 20th at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas. A private burial will follow the memorial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Taylor, Texas where her remains will be buried next to her daughter.
