Dominick "Nicky" Lorena

Dominick “Nicky” Lorena, age 85 passed away peacefully on October 26, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Sam Lorena and Mary Saladino Lorena, brothers, Tony, Joe, Ross and Vincent Lorena, sisters, Mary Gurtner, and Rosalie Sammartino, nephew, Alfred Gurtner, Jr. He is survived by his brother, Victor Lorena (Tillie – deceased), and sister, Josephine Delaune (Eldon), nephews and nieces, Joseph Sammartino, Randy, Michael, Terry and Mark Lorena, and Sharon, Gerald and Eldon III Delaune, great-nephews, Danny and tony Gurtner, Michael, Matthew Mura, Jimmy, Brandon, Kyle, Daniel, Danielle, and Kade and Lindsay Lorena, and great-great nephew and nieces, Rosemary and Chloe Mura, Chance Toupe, and Annebell Mura.

Nicky was a very compassionate person who loved everyone he met, and was always helpful, and was willing to lend a hand to help anybody who needed a hand. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 1:00 pm, Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Interment take place immediately following at Garden of Memories, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, Louisiana.
