William Edward Batson was born on October 3, 1984 to his wonderful parents, Susan and Edward Batson. He was taken from us unexpectedly on Friday, October, 26, 2018 at 34 years old. He is survived by both of his parents, the apple of his eye, the little girl he loved more than life itself, his 7 years old daughter Addison Grace Batson. He always said she was the only thing he got right in life, his fiancée Alexandria Long, his soul mate, his best friend, his other half, the love of his life. He is also survived by his older brothers Chris Batson and Kevin Batson and wife Marrissa and their twins Gabriella and Gavin Batson, and of course his baby boy pit bull, Pete. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Marion and Gladys Batson, maternal grandparents Kathryn and Edward Koontz, and nephew Colin Batson.
He was a very charismatic man who was full of life and joy; he was always the life of the party. He brought so much laughter and humor to every situation, even maybe when he shouldn’t have, but you could not help but love him. He loved his family and friends with all his heart. There is not a soul on this earth with a heart bigger than his. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him was better off for knowing him. He definitely was a one of a kind.
In his younger days he was an avid skate boarder who wasn’t afraid of anything, which ultimately led him to become a semi-pro skater. After graduating high school, he went to CFCC and enrolled in the Computer Engineering Technology Program. While he didn’t graduate, he was a very gifted programmer and computer guru. He also worked for the family business Appliance Service Company fixing appliances. You can say he was a jack of all trades.
A visitation will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 4 to 6pm at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. The funeral service will follow at 6pm.
