George Fielder, 73, of Alma, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 in Fort Smith. He was born October 7, 1945 in Woodward, OK to the late Kenneth and Wilma (Wilson) Fielder. He was a retired plumber and handyman. He attended Liberty Fellowship in Van-Alma, and loved hunting, fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie (Goss) Fielder.
He is survived by a daughter, Shawna Fielder of Wichita; two stepsons, Bruce Goss and Jason Goss, both of Alma; two sisters, Ruth Burkholder of Mulberry, and Linda Babas of Ewa Beach, HI; a brother, Bernie Fielder, Jr. of Van Buren; nine grandchildren, Jessica Goss, Brittany Goss, Mariah Rozell, Brianna Glass, Destiny Ritcheson, Marcia Goss, Kiersten Goss, Matthew Boozy, and Zane Boozy; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at New Cemetery in Mulberry, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Burkholder, Eddie Cagle, Trie Cagle, Cayden Sullivan, Zach Putman, and Jonathan Fielder.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
