She was born June 29, 1942, in Morrilton, to Roma and Virgil Crowder. At the age of 19 she met and married the love of her life, Donald Knotts, who was listed in the USAF. After 20 years of service they moved back Arkansas. She then started a career with Maybelline and later retired.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years, Donald Knotts, and by a brother, Harold Crowder.
She is survived by her three daughters, Tammy (Wynn) Dillard of Dallas, Texas, Cherie (Ed) Hughes of Casscoe, Arkansas, and Deanna Maness of Cabot; eight brothers and sisters; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Saturday, November 3, at 10:00 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
The family will have a private visitation.
