Glenn K Lyman, age 91, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Friday November 2, 2018. Glenn was born December 6, 1926 in Grand Island, NE to Harry and Elizabeth Lyman. Glenn graduated from Lincoln Northeast in 1942. He enlisted in the Navy and served during WWII. After returning from the Navy, Glenn joined the Lincoln Police Department where he served for 17 years. Later he joined the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department where he retired after 20 years of service.
In 1968 Glenn married Vera Mae. They were married for 50 years on October 7, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Dick, Francis and sister Jean. He was also preceded in death by his son David and daughter Peggy.
He is survived by his wife, Vera, two sons Gregory(Jennifer) Lyman and Larry(Lorraine) Lyman, two daughters Christine(Sharon) Lyman and Linda(Mark) Svoboda, two sons Brian(Terri) Arent and Charles(Debra) Arent and brother Alan (Charlene) Lyman. Glenn is also survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 7th from 5-8pm. Service will be held at Sheridan Lutheran Church on Thursday, November 8th at 10am. Memorials can be directed to the family.
