Madeline entered this world with a fierce fire and determination in her eyes December 6, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Nina and Julio Rodriguez. Madeline describes in writings her proudest moment in her life was having her 3 children.
For her children, their proudest moment was getting to see her complete Drake Business School after being out of school for almost 16 years. After graduating the Business school, Madeline went on to become the Office Manager at a import-export company at 1 World Trade Center before moving to CT Corporation in 1987 where she met her beloved husband, Donald Grella that she went on to marry on the special date of October 17th. Maddy and Don lived in New York for many years before settling and sharing many memories in Freehold and Lakewood, New Jersey. Madeline enjoyed many arts such as ceramics, the love of music from Elvis, Frank Sanatra, and Marc Anthony. She also enjoyed cooking and also the sport of baseball and watching the New York Yankees win. Most importantly her true enjoyment was getting to care for her 4 legged friends all throughout her life. The love she had for her dogs was a true testament of her gentle but passionate love she shared in her heart.
Madeline is survived by her loving husband, Donald Grella whom she shared 31 beautiful years with and became better known as Maddy to him. She is also survived by her 3 children Diana De Martini, Caroline De Martini, Edward Brunson. She is also proudly survived by her six grandchildren Nina, Alexandria, Christopher B., Gregory, Gina, Christopher V., and 2 great granddaughters Sofia and Isabella.
A Visitation will be held at D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701 on November 6th from 4PM - 7:30PM, followed by a funeral Service at 7:30PM.
