Jerald proudly served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was recognized for his service receiving many commendations along with the Purple Heart.
He believed education was a life-long pursuit and was a self-proclaimed “Jack of all Trades.” His passion for learning and entrepreneurial spirit lead him to pursue many careers and hobbies. He was a letter carrier for the Postal Service, substitute teacher, scuba diver instructor, and handyman to name a few.
He loved and cherished his family, with who he shared his life.
He leaves his wife Catherine, daughter Erin, and his granddaughters, Faith and Alana.
A “Military Honors Ceremony” will take place at Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO, Saturday, November 17th at 11:00 a.m.
