Marie went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2018. She was born in Bridgeport Connecticut on January 10, 1926, to Nicholas L. Panuzio and Carmela Petrucelli. She started a wonderful run of fun and enjoyment that lasted most of her ninety-two years.
Marie attended the University of Connecticut, Saint Vincent’s Hospital of Nursing, and Booth and Bayless Business School. She worked for the Southern Connecticut Gas Company for 18 years and then decided New York would be more fun, so off she went to New York to live. She worked in the office of Edward Dural Stone, the famous architect that designed the Kennedy Center and the National Geographic Building in Washington DC. She decided to return to Bridgeport where she became the manager of a major obstetrician practice.
Marie always enjoyed her many friends, in fact the fun usually began with her. After her mother passed away, Marie decided to sell everything in her home and move to Marco Island to begin anew. Marie always said that the time she spent in Marco was the best time of her life. Her home became the location of many condo parties and she was always leading the fun. The friendship of her friends and neighbors was special and always very important to her.
Marie is survived by her brother Nicholas A. Panuzio¸ her cousin Sandra Downes and husband Jim, her niece Susan Underwood and husband Joe, her nephews Nicholas A. Panuzio Jr., an Thomas Panuzio.
