Passed away on Saturday November 3, 2018 in Stockton after a hard battle with lung cancer. Her loving husband Roland T. Woodard joined her 2 days later on November 5, 2018. She was born to George and Mary Barrows, on January 12, 1941 in Sacramento, California. She is survived by her 8 children Mary Santiago, Howard Santiago (Rosa), Priscilla Santiago, Stephanie Johnson, Denise Smith, O’keefe Sumlin, Icie Rafael (Robert) and Anthony Woodard (Dedra). 25 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, her sister Anna Hairston and aunt Ida King. She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, close family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her two sons William Santiago and Adam Sumlin, her Parents, three Brothers Paul, Joseph and John Barrows and Sister Wilma Swinhart.
She was a hard worker and a great housekeeper, were she worked for Sutter Tracy Hospital for over 30 years. Percilla was blessed with a large and loving family that she cherished spending time with. She enjoyed Playing cards (spades) dominos and cooking together with her family. She was also known for telling the best stories, giving the best advice and telling it like it is!
She loved everyone and could hold a conversation with anyone who crossed her path. She had a passion for sewing and making the best pillows (that most of us here can honestly say we have a few of them). If there was one thing we all know about Percilla, she had a green thumb (she was the plant whisper and would bring any plant back to life) She also loved to dance especially to merengue music, and at any family function you could always find her on the dance floor, and on any given weekend you could find her sitting at a Slot machine in Jackson Rancheria (but let her tell it, she was only there to get her free gift)!
Sadly for us, but lucky for her, God was listening and answered her prayers, now she is no longer in pain and is flying free.
