GREENBUSH—Edward S. Holmes, 56, died November 8, 2018. He was born November 20, 1961 in Bangor a son of Donald and Anna (Stary) Holmes.
Ed had a lifelong passion for motorcycles. He enjoyed riding and tinkering on them. He enjoyed time spent puttering in his garage, going for walks in the woods, four wheeling, jeeping and driving dirt roads. Time spend with his grandchildren was precious to him. Ed was hard working, dependable, caring, and was always willing to lend a hand wherever he could.
He is survived by his wife Judy (Gilbert) Holmes; 2 children Jordan Holmes and his fiancé Tara Pressey of Alton, Brandi Turner and her husband Travis of Newport; three step children Justin Gilbert and his wife Jamie of Canaan, Elaina Carroll of Portland and Renee Cayer of VT; grandchildren Revan Holmes, Kadence, Chloe, Mason, and Nolan Turner; Jasmyne and Taylor Beaulieu; Kace Gilbert, Kaylee Vilasuso, Rhiannon Sargent, Patrick Leonard; sister Donna Dalton and her husband Mark of Milford; three brothers Danny Holmes and his wife Jody of TX, Victor Holmes and his wife Kelly of Greenbush, and Andy Holmes of Milford; and a special friend Mike Pelletier and his wife Nancy of Greenbush.
He is predeceased by his parents, and his two brothers, Richard and Kenny Holmes.
A celebration of his life gathering will take place 4-6PM Wednesday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A funeral service will follow at 6:30pm at the United Baptist Church of Old Town, Middle Street. A reception will follow in the church hall.
