November 9, 2018 surrounded by her family in Falmouth. Daughter of the late Philip and Anna (Dietrich) Polansky and sister of the late Sheldon Polansky, she was predeceased by her loving son-law Richard Kelley. Connie moved to Maine as a child and while in high school Connie met the love of her life, Ronald, at a dance at the Jewish Community Center on Cumberland Avenue. The two dated all throughout high school and were married on September 3rd 67 years ago. Connie was always the life of the party and surely knew how to throw one. She was an impeccable dresser - from her matching shoes, handbags, to her hats and jewels. Connie was forever on many boards and committees throughout her life in her Jewish communities Portland and south-ern Florida. She and Ron were early members of Temple Beth El and were involved on boards and committees in their beloved Jewish community. Connie was a life member and former president of Hadassah.
In 1987, she and Ronald moved to Delray Beach, FL where they became engrained in their new community at The Lexington Club. Connie quickly joined the ladies bowling league, golfing team, women’s club, and show chorus. Connie was always a gracious hostess and loved to have dinner parties, host Super Bowl parties for all their Portland snowbird friends, and all Jewish holidays where no one was ever alone. Connie even volunteered to join Ron on Neighborhood Patrol because she got to wear a neat pa-trol outfit.
While Ron and Connie raised a family of skiers, Connie herself never skied. She always packed the best lunches and snacks for the family - she may have never been on the slopes, but she’d sit in the lodge wearing the nicest ski outfits. When the Family skied at Wild Cat Mountain in Jackson NH. Connie was able to put together Mah Jong games with her cousin, the late Beatrice Bornstein and other non-skiing Moms. While spending hours on end waiting for her families return to the lodge, Commie knitted sweaters and many other amazing clothing for herself and family. It was not unusual to find Connie the center of attention with an adopt-ed group of college kids in the middle of the lodge.
As the loving matriarch of the family, Connie leaves behind her adoring husband Ronald of 67 Years, her children, David and Carla Jacobson of Florida, Marlene Jacobson Kelley & Michael and Linda Harmon Jacobson of Falmouth. The absolute loves of her life, her grandchildren, Matthew and Jessica Jacobson of Windham, Jennifer and Brian Brenerman of Scarborough,
Andrew and Brenda Kelley of Texas, Nicole Jacobson of Waterville, Sara Jacobson of Westbrook, and Joshua Jacobson of Florida. Great-grandchildren who always made her smile, Cody, Brooke, Ella, Parker and Hazel.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.jonesrichandbarnes.com for the Jacobson family.
