Rodney “Butch” Raymond Dauzat passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the age of 64, due to complications with pneumonia. He was surrounded by his loved ones. Butch was born on April 13, 1954 to Herman and Anna Mae Dauzat. He was a lifelong resident of St. Charles parish and attended the Arc of St. Charles for over 30 years. He loved to watch the Saints play football, waive at everyone from his front porch, and patrol the neighborhood in his scooter. Butch never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae Dauzat, brother, Vance Dauzat, and nephews, Joshua Blackwell and Jason Blackwell.
He is survived by his father, Herman Dauzat, and his sisters, Melinda Guidry (Bruce) and Trudi Blackwell (Patrick). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kevin Guidry (Laura), Kenny Guidry (Jamie), Brock Lawrence (Joy), Brandon Lawrence (Vanessa), Blake Lawrence (Brittany), Katelynn Dauzat, and Gage Dauzat, and great-nieces and great-nephews, Remi, Riley, Lil’ Brock, Evan, Brennan, Reid, Landon, Blaine, Kaiden, Prestyn, Abigayle, Isiah, Marleigh, and Elijah.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth St. Norco, LA. Visitation will be held from 10AM-1PM with a funeral service beginning at 1PM.
