Bowdoin- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and friend, John Firczak. John passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 11th, Veterans Day, which was always a monumental day for him. John was born in Fayette, Pennsylvania on February 26, 1936, a son of the late John and Anna (Zapko) Firczak. He attended school in Pennsylvania, graduating from Lovedale High School. He was a lifetime member of the Webber Avenue Social Club and the American Legion Post 135. John loved hunting, fishing, working in his garden, walking on his land, sitting in the sun and giving his grand furbabies rides in his golf cart on Firczak Lane. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. John will be missed eternally.
