Rebecca (LaBrecque) Bennett of East Sandwich passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 15th at 8:08 p.m. surrounded by her husband, daughters, son-in-law, and faithful dog Chloe Rose. Becky fought a short but courageous battle with cancer. In the end, she won and is free and at peace.
Becky was born on January 3, 1960 in Brighton, MA to Rosalie Johanna (Saragusa) LaBrecque and Charles Francis LaBrecque. Becky was raised in Chelmsford and attended Chelmsford High School. She was a graduate of Merrimack College and studied at Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics. She married the love of her life, Gary Bennett, in June 1983.
Becky touched many people’s lives during her short time here on earth, working as a preschool teacher and ultimately finding her passion as an aesthetician and independent business owner at Epiphany Skin Spa. She put so much love and care into the world. She had a powerful and noble job as she empowered women to feel beautiful and confident in themselves.
Daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend - Becky’s kindness, compassion, and generosity knew no bounds. From having multiple Christmas trees to baking twenty types of cookies, her heartfelt laugh, passion, and celebration of life was contagious. A lover of animals big and small, Becky had many pets - from gerbils, rabbits, and white mice as a child to a menagerie of cats and dogs as an adult. Wild birds feeding in her yard gave her constant joy.
Becky’s beauty, grace and smile will be missed by all whose life she touched. She is survived by her parents, her sister Cheryl LaBrecque, her brother Charles LaBrecque and his husband Rob Volpe, her husband Gary, her daughters Ashleigh and Chelsey, her son in laws Charles and Chris, and her grandchildren Chaz Thomas and Hunter Thomas.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 26th from 5-8 p.m. at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A in Sandwich. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation
