Linda Lee (Culpepper) Swartz, age 72 of Jackson passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit. She was born August 20, 1946 in Jackson the daughter of C. Douglas and Phyllis (Hill) Culpepper and they precede her in death.
Linda was a 1964 graduate of Western High School and also attended Jackson Business College and worked for Consumer’s Energy for 40 years until her retirement in 2004. Linda loved animals and volunteered many hours at the Cascades Humane Society and also worked with the United Way. She loved spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, games, shopping and going out to eat; her favorite foods were waffles, fish and pizza.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Ruth A. (Doug) Bean of Parma, niece, Jennifer (Mark) Drefke, great-nieces, Shandra, Sydney, Samantha Drefke, Nephew, Doug (Becky) DeForest, great-nephews, Baylee, Blake DeForest, great-nieces, Chloe, Chelsea and Willow DeForest, cousin, Sandra Robertson along with many other cousins, extended family members, friends and her beloved pets,
especially her dog, Lucy.
Linda’s family will celebrate her life with a memorial service on Saturday, November 24, 2018 beginning with visitation at 10 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM at the J. Kevin Tidd funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion with Pastor Al Henson officiating.
She will be laid to rest at a later date in Parma Cemetery with her mom & dad.
