He was born on September 3, 1921 to Generoso and Virginia Lazzarini DeMuro in Yonkers where he was raised and educated, graduating from Saunders Trade and Technical School. Mr. DeMuro was a welder for Local 137, the International Brotherhood of Operating Engineers in Briarcliff Manor for twenty years until his retirement in 1988. He was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew’s Church and was an usher at their 5pm mass on Saturdays. He belonged to the Westchester County Coin Club for thirty years, the Buckskin Archery Club and the Westchester Gem and Mineral Society. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting and garage sales. On September 19, 1948, he married his loving wife, Marion J. Farrell in Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers. Mrs. DeMuro died July 5, 2011. Survivors include a son Louis P. DeMuro and his wife Terry of Verbank, two daughters, Marion E. DeMuro and her companion, Jim Valentino of Yonkers and Judith M. DeMuro and her longtime companion, Tony Galarza of Yonkers, a brother, Martin DeMuro of Yonkers and a sister, Rose Montone of Boca Raton, FL. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Angelica. He was predeceased by a daughter, Linda M. DeMuro Tyner in 2018, three brothers, Frank, John and Gene DeMuro and two sisters, Millie Paoillo and Helen Cheron. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday 3-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Bartholomew’s Church on Monday November 26th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
