Louise V. Wilber, 93, of Springfield, passed away on November 22, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on September 28, 1925 in Lawrence County, Illinois to Paul and Sarah Chambers Lynch. Louise married George T. Wilber on March 28, 1946 in Lawrenceville, Illinois and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2018.
Mrs. Wilber is survived by her three sons: Harold “Duke” (Rita) Wilber of Springfield, Tom (Patti) Wilber of Dawson and Robert (Mary Anne) Wilber of Augusta, Illinois, five grandchildren: Andrew (Tiffany) Wilber, Matthew (Shannon) Wilber, Kristy (Shawn) Garrisson, Sarah (Bud) Howell and Shawn (fiancé Robert Van Patten) Wilber and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant son George T. “Timmy” Wilber Jr., and four brothers: Lawrence, Pat, Ernest “Sonny” and Paul Jr.
Louise enjoyed sewing, gardening and making quilts for her grandchildren. She took many international vacations with her family and one of her favorite trips was to Ireland. She loved her family very much and treasured her time spent with her children and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday November 29 2018 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:30am until the time of service Thursday at Bisch West.
