An avid Bruins and Red Sox fan, he also loved reading, painting, golfing, spending time
with family and friends, and Fox News. He was a warm, kind, fun-loving and devoted
family man.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Ann Marie (Meier) Coulter, his children, Robert
L., Jr., (wife Erin) of Whitman, Dianne (husband Gary) Miller of Lakeville; his step-
children, Lawrence Smolinsky of Reading, CA, Todd Smolinsky of Parsonsfield, ME,
and Lori Anderson of Plymouth. He leaves a brother, James Coulter of Taunton. He will
always be remembered by his grandchildren, Patrick, Conor, Jessica, Aidan, Megan
and Elizabeth of Massachusetts, Jake of Florida, Taylor and Ava of Maine. He was
predeceased by his parents, Laurie and Charlotte (MacDonald), his wife, Nancy
(Young) Coulter, his daughter, Janis R. Coulter, his son-in-law Brian Albert, and his
siblings, Gerald Coulter, Alta Vincent and John W. Coulter.
After serving with the U.S. Naval Reserves, Bob worked at Great Northern Paper
Company and then Stone and Webster in Boston, where he worked for almost 25 years
as a Piping Engineer.
A Memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 4th at 11:30 am at Nickerson-Bourne
Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA 02532. Visitation 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to service. In lieu of flowers, friends can remember Bob by contributing to Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St, Boston, MA 02114, or a charity of their choice. Burial will be private.
