Jean Wolk passed away on November 25, 2018 at her home in Aurora, Colorado. She was 86 years old. Jean is a native of Colorado, being born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver to Herman and Louise Miller. She attended, and graduated from, St. Francis de Sales Catholic School, being a parishioner there for over 50 years.
Jean met and married the love of her life, Lee Wolk. She loved to dance with Lee. Their two favorite songs were Glenn Miller's "In the Mood," and Jim Croce's "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown," which was "their" song. She loved to gamble, and her favorite TV channel was the Game Show Network. Jean was a medicinal marijuana advocate and recommended it to everyone she thought would benefit from it. She was described as the baby whisperer, awesome Mom and Grandma, and someone who would love and care for you completely, without judgment.
Jean joins her sister, Louann, and brother in law, Buzz, her son in law, Red Wetmore, as well as her beloved husband, Lee in eternal rest. She leaves behind her children, Barry (Mary), Bob, Becky (Robert), and Rojana; grandchildren, Orion (Emily), Rosie (Joey), Sadie, Raven, Asya (Todd), Aemon (Geneva), Abel, Jason, Aaron and Audrey; great-grandchildren, Allison, Kinly, Arlo, Olen, Connor and Arlie; sister, Jan, brother, Bob (Carolyn); as well as, her sweet and beloved dog, Snuggles aka Poopsie. Jean will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Winsor Gardens in Denver. Jean will be laid to rest at Olinger Eastlawn Cemetery.
