I didn’t know Colten but I do know his sister Ashley!  She shared many stories of her brother with me!  She spoke so highly of him, of how much she loves him and how great of a dad he was!  If he’s half the man that Ashley spoke of, he was truly an amazing brother,son, grandson, dad and friend that blessed many people just by knowing them!  Thinking of you as you celebrate his life and praying you feel Gods loving arms enfold you during this most difficult time!  

Colton and I grew up together and I will never forget how much fun me and him always had whenever I would come over to his house. We always had a great time and as we got older we stayed friends, when I got to see him after he got married and had his baby you could tell right away how much love he had for his Wife and son, I will never forget how much love my friend had for everyone in his life, especially his family.

The best memories we had were probably as children this age, so I can only imagine how amazing it would’ve been to have made amazing memories as we got older. Love you so much Colton❤️

I worked with Colton at GFS and got to train him in the freezer there. He was so quiet the first few days but after working with each other almost every day I came to find he was very sweet, genuine, and so funny.  We were constantly joking and goofing off,  pretending that packages of cookies and treats were “broken open” and eating them in the back, venting about customers and management. I know that he had an impact on me and everyone who worked with him. Gone but absolutely never forgotten. 

So many memories with Colton. Watching him grow from a baby, to a young boy, then a man. I will always cherish those memories of how he would react would I would bring him an action figure. He was always so excited.  You were loved by so many Colton. I will never forget you. My heart goes out to Bob & Melanie.  May you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you.

My most vivid memory of Colton was on his wedding day. I don't really get to see the Springer side of the family very often, but I do cherish any time we get to spend together. My husband and I were not able to attend the ceremony, but we were at the reception with our kids. I just remember Colton was smiling the whole night...when he danced with Kayla, when he talked with friends, and when he interacted with Ezra. Ashley and Colton had a bond on that day too...everyday there was a bond that I can remember, but especially that day. Ashley seemed so proud of her brother, just as the rest of the family. I pray that God comforts all who loved Colton and everyone keeps his memory alive forever...especially for little Ezra! R.I.H Sweet Cousin. ❤️

I have so many amazing memories with Colton but one of my all time favorites was when Colton and I walked to the library after school with some friends and Colton wouldn’t give me a drink of his two liter of mt.dew so I was chasing him around and he tried to jump over a concrete wall and he caught his foot and fell and the scream that he let out is one I’ll never ever forget haha. He was such a great friend to me and he will stay in my heart forever. Love you Colton, rest easy 

I have so many good memories of our friendship with colton. He was always the happiest person in the room. Honestly it's hard to pick just one memory, so all of them are my favorite. I love how caring and smart he is. He is such a good dad.  I will always remember that smile and keep it close to my heart 

Oh My Heart  has been aching in pain... I went to school with you and kayla, we never talked though but I notice everything about everyone and you and Kayla were always happy. It wasn't til last year we got cool because jvo would invite me over, while he stayed with you.  It was like a Live Comedy Show All the Time. I'm sorry, God cut your time short. I'm still lost in words. You invited me over for thanksgiving, I couldn't make it over.  I'm sorry Colton. But I will make sure Kayla is taken care of. Ball In Paradise Colton.

Words haven't been invented to express the sorrow I feel for everyone who knew Colton. He had a rare gentleness that made him so special. I did not see him enough and that is my loss.  From a very young age he always called me big nose, but in the nicest funny way. I am lucky because I have something to remember him by every time  I look in the mirror.   Go easy. The fondest memory of Colton for me was sitting at Sky Zone watching Colton with Ezra. Boy did he love his son.   I have never seen a father so patient and loving with a child. I learned so much about Colton that day. He impressed me so much that I had to tell Melanie.  I thought about this loving, patient meek humble, and mild  spirited guy ever since that day.   Not many people like Colton in this world.  He was special.   We love you Colton and will never forget you.  You will live on through your son.

A memory that I have always loved is from when Colton was still little enough to be in a car seat. I was taking him and Ashley somewhere in my Mustang. We put the top down and the Backstreet Boys on. When we first took off I thought it would be too much wind for him but he loved it. He had all that wind blowing in his face and Colton just smiled and laughed the entire time. Ash and I got the best laugh too. 

I'm  karen messmer Endris bob messmers  sister, my nephew Colton was a very special young man he was one of the sweetest, kindest, and gentle person I have ever known , I remember so well his love and  patients and  pure love he showed his son  Ezra I will remember his kind and gentle ways toward not just his son but to all, I will love him and always have him  in  my heart, his light will always shine bright, to see my brother, my sister n law Melanie and coltons sister Ashely hurt just brakes my heart , you were great parents to Colton and Ashley you were the best sister to Colton. I'm praying for comfort, strength and peace, one step at a time someday you will realize the sun will finally appear,  I love you all and I will always love Colton and never ever forget him  ,   always aunt Karen 

Colton and I used to go to grade school together. I remember when we had a lock-in for our youth group at church and colton and I would always be partners for hide and go seek. We always picked to be partners because it was so dark in the gym and at the time we thought “scary” and of course us being young we had a crush on each other. I remember that lock-in he introduced me to two friends seth, and bryce, and we all laughed so hard together the whole night! I can also remember our sisters joking around with us all the time and we all always had such a great time together! 

Colton was my cousin and my brother’s best friend. Our family has always made a point to not only spend the holidays together but take vacations together, big or small. From countless trips to Cedar Point and Kings Island to the occasional Orlando visit. A lot of get togethers involved him and Seth playing with action figures, talking about wrestling, and being the two babies of the family until Olivia and Mikey came along. Most of my memories involving him are that dynamic duo. Driving me, the older sister and cousin nuts, appropriately so. I know my brother found a lot of confidence and interest for all sorts of new things through Colton. They did upward sports which later down the road turned to them playing and working at the Paintball Plex. He was shy but at the same time open to the world, whether that be people or experiences. Colton had to grow up earlier than most people but he was accepting towards it and loved his son tramendously. 

Colton's right in between my sons Robby and Wes (Robby 22 & Wes 19), so when I'd come over and the boys were with me he'd immediately invite them back to start playing.  If I didn't have them with me,  he'd always ask, "Are your boys here?".  To which I'd answer, "not today bud", and he'd typically say, "Ok...tell them to come next time because I need to show them _______ (whatever game or toy was on his mind)".  So, I'd smile and tell him I'd be sure to let them know and he'd politely nod and just turn around and go back to playing or watching his show.

We had that short conversation every time :) 

As they got older, instead of games and toys it was fantasy football & basketball...just like his dad and I.

I'll always remember that sweet little boy who grew into such a polite young man.  

And I'll always remember his big heart.

My favorite memories have always been the fact that I have such a large family and remembering when I was young, all the cousins coming together each year at grandma springer's house for the holidays!  We all may not see each other regularly, or as we grew with our own families, but the love I carry in my heart for every last one of them is the same when I was younger!  Love you colton.
