Ken Ikari age 54 passed away on Thursday November 22nd 2018 at West Hills Hospital in West Hills, California. He was born on May 17th, 1964 in Tokyo, Japan to Susumu Ikari and Misao (Tsukagoshi) Ikari. Ken was a great family man devoted to his family. He was a man among men, soft spoken, intelligent, kind, thoughtful and funny. He was a man of few words but the words he spoke were respected. Ken enjoyed reading, golfing, watching sports, Disneyland and long walks with the family. He graduated from UCLA with his Bachelor’s degree in 1986 summa cum laude, phi betta kappa and obtained his JD from Harvard Law School in 1989 cum laude. He was a corporate attorney who started his career in New York with Sullivan Cromwell. He moved back to the Los Angeles area continuing to practice with Sullivan Cromwell until he joined Irell & Manella as a partner in 1997. He then joined Reed Smith in 2007 as a partner before moving onto his own practice in 2008 where he served as a principal outside general counsel to Toshiba Corporation. Most recently he served as special counsel in the corporate practice group at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton. He is survived by his wife Amanda; daughters Kaitlin and baby Kylie due in March; his mother Misao; nieces; cousins, and aunts. Family, friends and others whose lives Ken touched are invited to Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park in Westlake Village 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, California 91362. Service will be held at 11a.m. on monday december 3rd.
