Alex was born Dec. 12, 1944 in Gen. Trias, Cavite, Philippines. He served in Armed Forces of the Philippines for 15 years. Alex was a long-time musician who loved to play trumpet, was a member of the band, “Banda Matanda”. Alex was actively involved with El Shaddai (Catholic Charistmatic Movement) where he attended weekly prayer and met many wonderful friends. Alex was a loving and supportive father, grandfather, friend and devoted husband of 52 years to Yolanda Colocado. He will always be loved and remembered.
Alex was preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo and Anastacia Colocado; brothers; Antonio “Tikboy” and Aniceto; sister, Nelia Primero.
Alex is survived by his wife, Yolanda Colocado; children, Alex Colocado Jr. and wife, Annalee, Alvin Colocado and wife, Mavourneen, Aleli Colocado Acosta and husband, Darwin, Alona Colocado and husband Joey Follosco, Alerine Colocado Nocon and husband, Geoffrey. He was the proud grandfather of Euraigne Anne, Eunika Aira, Alexa, Alethea, Maxene, Jonathan, Jillian, Jalaia, Nicole, Allison, Christopher, Christian, Nathan and Adrian; great-grandchild, Isabella, three sisters, Teresita, Olivia and Miriam and husband, Ernie.
