Betty M. Kemp

Betty M. Kemp, 90, peacefully passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at St. Mary’s Village, Blue Springs, MO. Betty was born September 13, 1928 to Blanche and Claude Martin. She lived in Independence, MO most of her life except for when they moved to Cole Camp, MO in the late 1960’s. After moving back to Independence in the late 1990’s, Betty and Louis spent many years wintering in Texas. Betty was a talented artist and gifted craft person. She has left a legacy of her many talents with all the presents she made for everyone in her life. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Betty is survived by her husband of 72 years, Louis M. Kemp. Sons Garry Kemp (Sue) and Kenneth Kemp (Shirley) and daughter, Susan Helton and by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, The family wishes to thank St. Mary’s Village and Asana Hospice for their care of Betty.
