Patricia Ann Shaw, 79 of Seminole, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at her sister’s home, as the sun was rising, surrounded by her family. Pat was born in NY and attended Long Island City High School. She lived in Astoria, Pennsylvania and Connecticut before moving to Seminole to enjoy the sun and the beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Ann McQuade; her brother, Stephen McQuade and her husband, Fred Shaw. She leaves behind a son, Stephen Baldanza; stepdaughter, Maureen Shaw; her sister, Veronica “Ronnie” (Jim) Baldanza and grandchildren, Matthew and Erica; her longtime companion, Stanley Seibert as well as her numerous “favorite” nieces and nephews. In addition, Pat was auntie and “Nani” to many who did not have someone to fill that role in their lives. Her heart was THAT big.
She was an active person who brightened up every room she entered and always made everyone in it feel loved and special. She was known for her big smile and caring nature. Persons who remained closest to Pat will remember her for her love of family, friends and of course the beach! She had the ability to make everyone smile.
She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 673 and Holiday Isles Elks Lodge #1912
A Memorial mass will be celebrated 11am Friday, December 14, 2018 at St Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd. Largo, FL with a celebration of her life afterwards.
She will be missed by so many…
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans - DAV.org, a group of people that were near and dear to her heart.
