Linda was born February 10, 1952 to the late Dave Street and Sylvia Barnett Street. She was retired from the Johnson City Medical Center. She attended Liberty Fellowship Church. Linda was a loving and caring mother and wife. She loved her family, friends and pets dearly. She loved God and was a Godly woman. She loved family gatherings and loved to watch her grandchildren at sporting events.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Troy Duvalt.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Clay Brooks, of the home; her daughter and son-in-law Melanie Brooks Rogers and John of Johnson City; daughter and son-in-law Mitzie Brooks Hensley and Tony of Jonesborough; grandsons, Johnathan David Rogers; Caleb Jack Rogers; and Teddy Christian Miller; granddaughters Nidia Maria Rogers; Morgan Hensley; and Meranda Campbell; and several special friends and family. Special thanks to her sister Velma Duvalt of Hickory, NC; her sister-in-law and husband Janie Morefield and Tommy of Elizabethton; to her son-in-law John Rogers who always helped keep her wheelchair van serviced and working safely; to Divita Dialysis Center and to Lakebridge Healthcare.
Services to honor the life of Linda will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 8 PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 PM to the hour of the service.
An interment service will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 at 2 PM at Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be John Rogers, Johnathan Rogers, Caleb Rogers, Christian Miller, Tony Hensley, Roy Greer, Michael Winn and Jason Collins.
