Mr. Lane Michael Bradshaw of Jacksonville passed away on December 3, 2018 at the age of 58. He passed while in the comforting care of hospice in Jacksonville for several weeks. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on June 1, 1960 to the late Albert and Mary Bradshaw.
Lane was known for his gentle spirit and hard work ethic. He was fun to be around and loved to make people laugh. He was an avid weight lifter for most of his adult life. He loved college football and basketball, especially the North Carolina Tarheels. He worked as an electrician for most of his career, before suffering a massive stroke on June 1, 2012. Until his passing he was cared for by the nursing staff of Palm Garden of Jacksonville Nursing Home.
He leaves behind his two brothers; Bryan and David, his sister-in-law, Tamira and half siblings Albert Jr. and Gayle. Lane was preceded in death by his mother Mary and his father Albert as well as his half-sister Beverly and half-brother Robert.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Pastor Larry Yarborough as Officiant, followed by interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that the contributions please be made to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257.
