She was born December 16, 1936, to Lola Vae Cade and Rayburn Clark in Idalou, TX. After dating the love of her life, Robert Pryor, for two years, they were married on August 15, 1954, and settled down in Lubbock, TX to start their life and soon became a family of four. She later got her hairdresser’s license and worked out of her home and continued to do so even after their move in 1970 to Austin, TX. Soon after, Robert started his own business and Julia became the bookkeeper. She not only managed the books at the office but also the home, while helping with her grandchildren daily. She loved all kinds of crafting, cross-stitch and was an amazing seamstress. Julia and Robert made lasting memories together with their family on their land in Lampasas, TX, and while traveling to many parts of the United States in their motor home. They also visited several Caribbean countries and cruised through the Panama Canal. Her roots have always been in Acuff, TX, where she still has an interest in her parents’ cotton farm and other farms they purchased along the way. Julia devoted her life and love to Robert through the years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Louis Pryor, March 17, 2011. She is survived by her older siblings, Marianne Rankin and Rayburn Dial Clark; daughters, Debbie (Rick) Spears and Lisa Johnson; grandchildren, Kelly (Jordan) Fowlkes, Emily (Taylor) Polson, Taylor (Eric) Graff and Hunter Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Josie Fowlkes, Tucker and Trace Polson and Blakeley and Bentley Graff.
