Kazuko (Nakajima) Rowell

Kazuko N. Rowell, age 94, passed away Wednesday, December 5th in The Oaks at Pooler.

Mrs. Rowell was born in Japan and lived many years in Memphis, Tennessee and Austin, Texas and had lived in Pooler, Georgia for the past five years. Kazuko worked as a seamstress for many years with J. C. Penney and Cash and Wright’s in Memphis and very much enjoyed line dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry D. Rowell; son, James E. Rowell and daughter, Karen A. Rowell.

Mrs. Rowell is survived by her son, Karl D. Rowell (Rhonda Johnson) of Pooler; granddaughter, Laura Ashley Rowell DeFord and her husband, Rex of Augusta, GA and great-granddaughter, Presley DeFord of Augusta, GA.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
