Josefina Verduzco, 89 passed away on December 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 5, 1929 in La Piedad, Michoacan, Mexico and was a resident of Stockton for 49 years. Josefina is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband Francisco Verduzco. Josefina was devoted to her Catholic faith, and attended various Catholic churches in Stockton. She loved to cook and was known for making the best homemade flour tortillas. Anytime you were in Josefina's presence she wanted to give you a blessing and give you her warm gentle love. She was admired for her unconditional and continuous support for everyone she came in contact with.
DeYoung Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Verduzco family. A Rosary will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 6pm at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, Stockton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10am at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Stockton, followed by a committal at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
