husband Thomas, grandfather of Sara, Laura, Thomas, and Lisa Williams, and father of
Martha Roys and her companion Timothy Callinan. Dear brother of Elizabeth Roys
Beiser of Chicago, Illinois. He is also lovingly survived by nieces, nephews, cousins
and friends.
Born in Libertyville, Illinois, he was the son of the late Wellman Ellis and Helen
(Brewerton) Roys. Bill grew up in Scarsdale, New York, later moved to Philadelphia
and then to Marshfield, VT before settling in Sudbury. He recently moved to Holden to be
closer to his family.
For over 40 years, Bill was an active Real Estate Broker in Sudbury as well as the surrounding
towns. He loved the real estate business, especially socializing and meeting various people while working in the industry. In his spare time, he also enjoyed visiting with friends and family, doing various activities with his grandchildren, taking trips, and relaxing on Cow Island, Lake Winnipesaukee.
Bill spent many years as a Boy Scout and earned his Eagle Scout Badge. He also
proudly served his country in the US Army. In his younger years, Bill enjoyed many
summers working at “Camp Kineowatha”, a summer camp his parents owned and
directed for 28 years located in Wilton, ME.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, December
27th from 2-5PM, in the Duckett-J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656
Boston Post Road, Sudbury. In the spring, Bill's committal service will held in Roxbury
Vermont.
