Doting wife, attending mother, audacious grandmother, champion golfer, seasoned traveler, and ingenious painter. As apparent by the many roles she held, Bongson Helena Lee’s impact on this world extended far beyond the small Korean town she was born in. Whether through the casual but deadly accurate golf swing or the vibrant and lifelike peonies she drew, Helena gracefully mastered and showcased the serene control she had over her mind and body.
The life of any adventure she chose to embark on, whether it be gliding through the surreal beaches and golf courses of Florida, championing rowdy Christmas games of Rock-Paper-Scissors, or persuading her family to join her across the world in the busy streets of Seoul, Helena continually demanded more out of the gift of life given to each of us. Few people ever get the opportunity to make such trips and only a unique individual can give that opportunity to the family around her. She gave more to the world than she took and her incredible legacy will perpetuate for generations.
Helena has now left husband Sung Il (Sunny) Lee, children and spouses Mi-Hyon, Janet, Kenny, Jeffrey, Michael, Kee-Hak, Soojeong, Hanna and grandchildren Joshua, Justin, Jonathan, Austin, Sebastian, Evan, Ryan, William and Isabella to make their own journey through life. Helena managed to wrangle the chaos of the world into a paradise she gifted to those around her. May her spirit join those in the Kingdom of Heaven. The wake will be conducted on December 26th, 2018 and followed by a funeral the next day, December 27th, 2018.
