James was an educated and friendly man who cared very deeply for everyone. He loved his family and maintained many long-standing friendships over the years. He loved to travel with Connie to many places around the world and enjoyed sharing his travels with those he knew. He was never afraid to try new things or visit new places. James was a generous man, always interested in getting to know people and giving them something to make their day better. Even in his later years, he reached out to others with a kind word, a treat or a meal.
He had a wonderful career as architect on many projects including the Humanities Building at University of Pennsylvania, Mitten Hall and Skin and Cancer Center at Temple, Gwynedd Mercy College, and various churches across the country including the Fort Lauderdale Second Presbyterian Church. Although he loved design and structure, nothing was closer to his heart than teaching. For over 20 years he taught architectural studies at the Philadelphia Community College. As a teacher. James truly enjoyed working and guiding young lives; some of his students became life-long friends and loved ones. He will missed be by many.
