Harry Krupczak, 94 left his extended family and many friends on Christmas Eve 2018. Thankfully he was not in pain and died peacefully in good spirits with family. Harry was a proud Navy vet, great fixer of and builder of anything, a fisherman, hunter, golfer, square dancer, boater, camper, traveler, cruising and a 30 year loyal Shell Oil employee. He enjoyed people, visiting, entertaining, cooking, laughing, telling jokes, kidding people, and drinking beer. He made great applesauce, big breakfasts, fresh dug fried clams and fish and Raspberry Liquor.
People liked Harry and enjoyed being in his company. He is loved by many and will be missed greatly by numerous people. Seeing WWII through his words was compelling, and the realization that your Dad, as a teenage kid, was so brave and was close to not making it home to be your Dad was a real eye-opener. He had some good fishing escapades and one of those he almost didn’t make it back either. Plus two bad car crashes which he was lucky to survive. I guess considering all his “close calls” contributed to him being happy. He was also fortunate to have found at least three wonderful ladies (that I know of) as his companions through life. Since 2007 his loving Edna Blue was “everything to him” while they made many fun memories cruising, canning and gardening. She was his personal nurse and devoted caregiver to the very end. Edna and her family have included him as theirs. In 1981 he married another special lady, Ruth, and the two of them took off in their motor home, square danced and enjoyed their snowbird house in Florence, AZ for many years. Ruth’s two children and their children were a big part of his life and happiness.
