Born in Ft. Benning, GA on the twenty third of October 1958, he was a son of Herman R. and Erika K. Faircloth of Holden Beach, NC. Philip was a surveyor crew chief and was employed with Bobby McHenry Surveying. He was a lifelong surfer, and was someone who loved the outdoors. Philip was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed archery hunting and doing his own taxidermy work. He loved his beloved coonhounds, Bear and Poppie, and, put UKC Championships on them as well as worked them regularly. He was also a longtime member of Sabbath Home Baptist Church. Philip was preceded in death by a nephew, James Cary Faircloth, son of James (Jamie) Arthur Lawrence and Sheri Fulford Faircloth.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Beverly Faircloth of the home; two daughters, Nicole F. Bullard and husband David, Hunter F. Gunn and husband Andrew; a brother, James Arthur Lawrence (Jamie) Faircloth and wife Rema; a sister, Joyce Christine “Chrystal” Faircloth Judah; grandchildren: Layla, Hayley, David (Lil’ D), Madelynn Bullard, Adrian, Audreanna, Anslee Faircloth; a nephew Cane Faircloth and wife Brea and their daughter Bella; all of Supply, NC; and a niece Jennifer Judah Fisher and husband Jonathan, and their sons Isaih, Jacob and Elijah, of Stedman, NC. There are also many extended family members, relatives, cousins, and aunts living in Cumberland, Sampson and surrounding counties; among them Aunt Helen Faircloth Saunders and Aunt Joyce Faircloth Taylor of Fayetteville, NC.
