Kin Sung Chiu was born in Guangdong, China, on December 19, 1924, and passed away on January 3, 2019, at the age of 94. Mrs. Chiu grew up in a rural area of China and moved to the United States in 1989. She loved to feed her family with her amazing cooking, particularly her tasty dumplings and zongzi. When you walk into her home, regardless of the hour, she always greets you by saying: “Have you eaten yet?” If your answer was no, you’ll soon find yourself eating something delicious. She also enjoyed Tai Chi.
The most important thing to Mrs. Chiu was her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. As the matriarch of the family, she actively helped raise her four children, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a hardworking woman and will be forever remembered for the way she took care of her family.
