She was born on July 10, 1916 in Wilmington, NC to William Edgar Hardison and Brookie Ella (Todd). She was the second child of eight, survived by William Edward Hardison (brother) and Dorothy Hardison Wynings (sister) with five deceased siblings: Edna Mae Blizzard, Hazel Lee Paige, Mary Alma Williams, Anna Lou Patterson and Aleen Brookie McDonald.
Her legacy include her three beloved sons; Oscar Vernice Hill, Jr. & wife Bernice, Jerry Lee Hill and Eugene William Hill(deceased); seven grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren and eighteen great-great grandchildren.
Annie Belle dropped out of school at the young age of fourteen to care for her sick mother and six younger siblings. She was employed for twenty years at the Garver Shirt Factory where she quickly became foreman.
She will always be remembered for her avid love for God, her family, fishing, gardening, painting and crocheting which fill her long life with great happiness, peace and Joy.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412.
