Edward Earl Stonham, 75 of Cape Coral, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born on June 7, 1943 in Tampa, Florida to Earl Maxwell Stonham and Beaulah Claudair Spence Stonham. Mr. Stonham was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Lorraine Anne Hibell on May 13, 1967. Mr. Stonham graduated from State University College of New York with an Associates in Nursing.
He worked at Gulf Coast Center in Buckingham, Florida as a Registered Nurse, retiring from Gulf Coast Center in 2008. He loved College Football, U.S. History, Yard Work, Playing Pool, Western and War Time Movies. His enjoyments included going on cruises and traveling with his loving wife. One of his favorite places in the United States was the Garden of the Gods in Colorado.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 51 ½ years, Lorraine; son Edward (Kathy); daughters Desiree (Sal), Laura (Jon), Lorraine (James); grandchildren Kyla, Cameron, Hayleigh, Jordan, Zoie, Alianna, Joseph, Jonathan, Michael and Maxwell; his sister April (David), sister-in-law Ellie (Mike), nephew and godson Michael and niece Michelle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Jerry.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 11th from 10:30 to 11:30 am at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, Cape Coral. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Cape Coral. The Rite of Committal and Entombment with Military Honors will be at 10:00 am on Saturday January 12th at Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills, Florida.
