Passed away January 7, 2019 in Davenport, WA. Gerald was born on April 6, 1945 in Spokane, WA to George Francis and Doris (McKee) Stiles. He grew up in the Bluestem area and attended school in Davenport, WA, graduating from Davenport High School in 1963. He later joined the US Army and served during Vietnam. After the military Gerry returned to Davenport, WA where he started his 40 year career in law enforcement with 29 yrs. at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office in Davenport, WA. Gerry was a 30 year member and President of the Lincoln County Fair Board, a Washington State Brand Inspector for the WA Dept. of Agriculture for 38 years, member of the Bluestem Grange, lifetime member of the NRA, American Quarter Horse Association, and American Paint Horse Association. He enjoyed his horses and cattle, shooting, and rodeos. He worked for Flying 5 and Big Bend Rodeo Companies, and worked at the Davenport Stockyards from the early 1970’s until his death. His spare time was spent following Gonzaga Basketball and spending time with his family. He was an active grandparent, who spent countless hours watching his grandchildren at rodeo and sporting events. He is survived by his wife Joyce at the home, three children Todd (Sarah) Stiles, Katie (Eddie) Bageant and Brandon (Angie) Stiles along with six grandchildren Samantha, Shane, Hailey, Elly, Denton and Tanner. He is preceded in death by his parents. Celebration of Life Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds Auditorium with Kris Budde, officiating.
