A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service. Marilyn was born on August 5, 1936 to Gomer and Cecil Pearl (Bradwell) Gott in Centerville, IA. She was united in marriage to Jimmie Otts on April 15, 1967. He passed away in 1991. She worked for many years as a teacher’s aide at Adams School.
Marilyn was a vibrant woman who loved to sing karaoke, play bingo, and go dancing. She also enjoyed going to the casinos from time to time. She cherished her family and the time she spent with them. She was one of a kind and had an amazing sense of humor and touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Vickie Otts; sons, Jimmy (Suzanne) Otts and Toby (Becky) Otts; grandchildren: Josh Cross, Dylan Otts, Melissa (Corey) Condon, Austin Otts, Dakota Otts, James Brinkman, Kaitlyn (Mitch) Seifert, Kirsten Otts, Tao Otts, Halle Store, Josey Carlson, Jenna Carlson, Quentin Miller, and Brandin Jones; great-grandchildren: Nikaya Cross, Mikaila Cross, Judah Cross, Hudson Condon, Jecelyn Wolf, Jalynn Seifert, Lainey Seifert, and Kensleigh Wallace.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie; sisters: Vivian Guile, Marcela Lucas, Evelyn Erickson, Betty Thompson, and Gracie Dalton; and brothers, Kenneth Gott, and Gene Gott.
