and Una Claire Joseph on February 20, 1947. She was the second out of 7 children who loved
to care for her siblings and was greatly loved by her family. In July of 1976 Dawn immigrated
to the United States and brought with her the spirit and culture of her beloved homeland.
Mother to all, confidant and friend to many, and forever warm and kind, Dawn lived her life
as a form of ministry and never grew weary in doing good. Her faith in the Lord was
unshakeable and helped her to live a life of purpose. She served as the secretary to the
Ministry of Education in St. Vincent and her compassion led her to work in the health field
where she cared for her patients by lifting their spirits with her humor and laughter while
diligently tending to their needs.
A faithful and loving wife and mother to 11 children, Dawn believed in growing up a child in
the way of the Lord. She instilled the love and fear of the Lord, the passion to learn, the
desire to work hard and the need to show kindness freely and often. Dawn taught her
children to hold on to the promises of God’s word and to never let circumstances dictate
faith, but to instead let faith lead you through each circumstance. Most of all, she had an
unconditional love and passion for her children and family and enjoyed spending time with
them. She took great pride in being a mother and grandmother. Her love and service to others
was unfathomable and unable to see a need unmet, Dawn opened her arms wide to as many
needs as she could and to love as many as she could as her own.
Dawn enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. She often volunteered for
Sunday school ministry and vacation bible school and enjoyed mentoring and working with
the youth. Her favorite pastimes were cooking, baking, deep sea fishing, spending time with her
husband and family, speaking with her siblings, singing and playing the piano and tending to
her flowers and plants. She was an excellent cook and pastry chef and enjoyed sharing her
food, bread and cakes with family and friends. Dawn’s green thumb could make anything grow
and blossom. In turn like her plants she was able to help her family and friends blossom with
her laughter, a word of comfort, a prayer, or a pruning if it was needed.
On January 9, 2019, Dawn Patricia Taylor, good and faithful servant, was called home to be
with The Lord. Dawn leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished
memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember her.
Dawn will be reunited with her parents, Patrick and Una Joseph and brothers, Arthur, Lionel
