Eva Helen Adams was born on March 22, 1940 in Yakima to Lyle and Helen McLean. She passed away January 9, 2019 at Apple Creek in Yakima with her sons holding her hands. Eva attended Highland High School. Working in the fruit industry she packed apples at Strand Apples in Cowiche for over 40 years. As a devoted daughter, and wife she became her mother’s caregiver and took care of her late husband Al in his final years. The true character of her heart was shown through her love for her family. People will always remember Eva’s sharp wit and frank opinions. It was easy for Eva to tell you the truth whether you wanted to hear it or not. We always knew where we stood with her. An eyelash flutter with an eye roll was her signature expression.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother in law Bill and Shirley Stackhouse, her loving husband Al Adams and many dear friends. She is survived by her two sons, Rocky (Amy) Parsley and Rhett (Trina) Randall; her grandchildren Nichole (Blaine) LaRitchie, Jennifer Parsley, Blake Parsley, Alexandra Parsley, Kashmir (Christian) Shay, Karissa Brandhagen, and Courtney Dimick; great grandchildren Jolene, Holly, Ayden, and Clayton; her brother Dick (Linda) McLean; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday January 16th at Keith and Keith, 902 W. Yakima Ave. at 1 pm. For more about Eva and to leave messages for the family please visit www.keithandkeith.com.
Eva’s family would like to especially thank Apple Creek for their loving care of Eva the last 5 years. It was truly a blessing to know she was loved and cared for like a part of their family during that difficult time.
