DOB 10/29/1933 Passed Away on January 10, 2019. Theresa (Voncile as her family called her) was born in Evergreen, Alabama. When she was 5 years old, her family moved to Pensacola, Florida. They settled in the Cantonment area where she was raised with her 6 brothers and 2 sisters. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Martha Tatum Macks and Andrew Lewis Macks, her brothers, brothers in law and sisters in law, Ralph and Betty, Vernon and Elsie, Alvin, Harvy and Dot, James, and Chuck Barron and her ex-husband John Ross MacPherson. She is survived by brother Kenneth (Norma), sisters Delores Perry, and Ruth Barron; her four children, Debbie Belger (Tom), Peggy Morgan (Joe), John S. MacPherson, David MacPherson, Vic Wallace (Rita); Grandchildren, Kelly Wallace Milton (Chris), Victor Wallace (Rachel), Nicole Pridgen (Brandon), Stephanie MacPherson, Zachary MacPherson, and Ian MacPherson; Great Grandchildren, Bryson Milton, Brayden Milton, Jana Pridgen, Kaleb Pridgen, Kennedy Wallace, Ruby Wallace and Susan MacPherson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Theresa worked for years in the Hospitality industry as a front desk clerk, night auditor, bookkeeper and advancing to Hotel Manager. She retired from the old Rodeway Inn on Pineforest Road. But her most important and beloved job was raising her four children, to whom she was lovingly devoted. During the last six years of her life she was a resident at Baybreeze Senior Living in Gulf Breeze, FL. She had a very socially active life there as she struggled with Parkinson’s Disease. The family would like to thank the caregivers and nurses at Baybreeze and Regency Hospice for all their love and care. The services will be facilitated by Eastern Gate Memorial, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 with visitation at 2:00 and service at 3:00.
