Pamela Jo (Golik) Marske died on Saturday January 26, 2019. From her birth on January 7, 1967 until her death she was a Spokane area resident. She attended St. John Vianney church and school as a child and her faith sustained her throughout her entire life.
Pamela had an AA degree and was a certified bookkeeper, a certified fraud examiner and most recently a records specialist, redacting and providing police records for attorneys and members of the public.
Pamela loved life, history and travel, especially with her husband and friends via the motorcycle. She loved to combine her love of motorcycling with her love of history by traveling to Indian battlegrounds, the trails of explorers and small historic towns. She also traveled to vast numbers of national parks and monuments. She loved spending time with family, whether it was camping, boating, playing games, or sitting around a campfire.
Pamela would regularly buy food and clothing for the Union Gospel Mission or the food bank, often times calling in advance to find out what they needed, which would prompt her husband to ask why they were buying so many Cup O' Noodles, socks, and toothbrushes.
Pamela is survived by her husband Doug, daughter Renata Samek, son Matthew Samek (Meredy), grandchildren Landin and Lydia Windham, sister Sheila Bechtel (Kevin) and niece Mariah Bechtel. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Bette Golik, of Spokane Valley.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 6, 2019 at St. John Vianney Church at 11:00 a.m. The graveside service is at St. Joseph Cemetery at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Union Gospel Mission.
