Pat Shubert Robertson died peacefully in her home in Playa Vista, California. She was 81 years old. Pat is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and holds a Master’s in Creative Writing from Stanford University. She was a teacher of English and Journalism in the Palos Verdes Unified School district for many years in the 1970s and 1980s and later worked on the creative and account side of the advertising industry. This latter work included work at some of the country’s most preeminent advertising agencies, including William Esty, J. Walter Thompson, and Saatchi & Saatchi Team One. Pat was the Creative Director on the Santa Monica Bank account and was noted for her creative work on the humorous ads running on the Santa Monica City Bus line. In more recent years, Pat managed the affairs of her family business, Cheyenne Holdings. She is survived by her three children, Mark Stewart Robertson of Peachtree City, GA, Brent Jeffrey Robertson of Laguna Beach, California and Brooke Kimberly Richter of Miami, FL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Grace Helen, Caleb John and Ezekiel Luke, all of Atlanta, Georgia; Cole O’Neil and Jack Reese Robertson, of Atlanta, Georgia; and Chasen Connell, Camden (“Cricket”) Avery and Ivy Lauren Richter, all of Newport, Rhode Island. Pat loved Southern California and her many friends and family there. She will be missed by many.
