EDMOND – Juanita Joy Holliday Teel, 78, of Edmond, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at King’s Daughter Hospital in Ashland, KY.
Born on June 2, 1940 at Winona, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dana Seacrist and Vena Lucille McGraw Seacrist.
Mrs. Teel attended Jeanette Baptist Church in Edmond and graduated from Nuttall High School in 1958. She worked at Ashland Oil Company in Williamson, Tri-State Welding in Williamson, and The Sycamore Inn. Most of all she enjoyed being a Mother, reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Holliday and son, Jeffrey Holliday.
Survivors include her husband, Pete Teel; sons: Samuel Roger (Tracy) Holliday of Saline MI and Shawn Patrick (Susan) Holliday of Alva, OK; grandchildren: Samuel Holliday III, Courtney Bailey, and Cory Tyler Holliday; daughter-in-law: Pamela Simmons of Elkview, WV; step-children: Carol Davis, Pete “Chuck” Teel, Peggy Dickens, Frances Nancy Teel, and Michael Teel; and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 12 noon until 1 pm.
