Morton Benjamin “Mickey” Hassan, Jr. entered into rest on January 31, 2019, at 71 years of age. He is preceded in death by his parents, Morton Benjamin Hassan and Annamay McMaster Hassan, and beloved son, Alexander Seth Hassan. He is survived by his loving wife, Margarita Trevino-Hassan, stepdaughters, Melissa Trevino, Amy Collins, and Angela Anzaldua, step-grandson, Jerrad Trevino, Jr., maternal aunt, Jane Courtright; siblings Richard Hassan and wife, Jane Hassan, Bernadette Solorzano and husband, Rene Solorzano, Chris Hassan, Quentin Hassan and wife, Rose Hassan; nephews and nieces, Russell Hassan and wife, Nicole Hassan, children, Chloey and Shane, Rachel Gravel and husband, Paul Gravel, children, Lillian, Emily, and Haley, Alexis Hassan, Mia Hassan, Andrew Hassan and wife, Dagny Hassan, daughter Kira, Elizabeth Hassan, and Sean Hassan.
Ben Hassan was born on October 7, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA and was a long time resident of Plano, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and became a Certified Public Accountant in March of 1989. In his career as a CPA, Ben was held in high regard by his co-workers and clients, many of whom considered him a friend. Ben’s love of classic sports cars, rock and roll, bowling, and affection for his pets was evident, second only to the love and devotion he had for his family. An avid bowler, Ben was a long time board member of the Dallas Bowling Association and enjoyed sharing his passion for the sport with many in his community. He was a member of the Corvette Legends of Texas and The Texas MG Register (TMGR) for many years. Ben will be remembered by his kindness, gentle spirit, and the loving manner in which he lived and loved.
